Call Of Duty: World At War
It seems recently that the games I have been slamming turn out to be…not bad.
Ryan and I played through roughly half of the single player campaign on Co-op (I’ve been completely SMOKING him on competitive scoring ;) ) And it’s pretty fun. The levels feel very… 360 dimensional. Frequently, you’ll enter a set piece and find that enemies are coming from all angles. This is something that COD4 didn’t have in such abundance, and is certainly a nice touch, even if slightly frustrating sometimes.
The Co-op gameplay, contrary to what I previously stated, actually works quite well. It’s certainly good to have an intelligent player in my squad, as the AI is fucking awful. Anyone who’s played a COD game will know that your leader (Corperal, Seargent etc) can’t die. So, frequently, you’ll see then standing inches from enemies, both shooting at each other, and neither dying. Ugh.
I’d say it’s fun in Co-op, and if you’d like more of COD4’s multiplayer it’s certainly a good purchase. Otherwise, it’s a fairly competant shooter.
