sidescrollers outdated? Shadow complex says hi, and feels unloved.New Super Mario Bros. for Nintendo WiiLooks fun. But aren’t sidescrolling platformers a little … outdated? However, seeing as how this is a) Nintendo and b) Mario, it will sell a bazillion copies, I’m sure.
The thing is that the (Super) Mario Bros. franchise has become a staple of Nintendo’s products, and it’s a timeless classic of gaming that really will never get old, regardless of how “outdated” the genre may be. Hell, I want the game, if only for the multiplayer aspect of playing something as fun as SMB with three of my friends.
