iPhone 3G Owners, You Might Want to Hold Off on iOS4

Sweet, stuck with a phone with old out of date OS till September. Awesome!

Hey apple. It’s not that I don’t appreciate a new OS for my iPhone, but this shit is the reason people hate apple/iTunes. First, I plugged in my phone to update the os and it did a back up as part of the sync, as usual. Then I had to download iTunes 9.2 before I could update my phone. Then, after downloading the software, it seems iTunes wants to make a NEW back up of my phone even though nothing on it has changed since the last back up 5 minutes previous. The status bar you are seeing is after half an hour of backing up! Essentially, this will take all day! Smart thinking apple, good show. On top of that I can’t use my laptop for anything because every 30 seconds it flicks over to iTunes regardless of what I’m doing. Whilst typing this it’s done it 3 times. I can’t even use iTunes to listen to some music or a podcast or something. Apple, you are dumb. Update: During the process of writing this message, it flicked over to itunes as I was typing, and I subsequently keyed “s” and stopped the backup, now I hvae to start all over again! FUUUUUUUUUUU- Zoom
